‘Secondhand Serenade Yogyakarta Live in Concert’

‘Secondhand Serenade Live in Concert’

Sportorium UMY Jogja

My tears run down like razorblades and no, I'm not the one to blame: it's you or is it me?
And all the words we never say come out and now we are all ashamed. And there is no sense
In playing games, when you've done all you can do.

But now it's over, it's over. Why is it over? We had the chance to make it. Now it's over,
It's over. It can't be over. I wish that I could take it back, but it's over.

I lose myself in all these fights; I lose my sense of wrong and right. I cry, I cry. I'm
Shaking from the pain that's in my head. I just want to crawl into my bed and throw away
The life I'd led. But I won't let it die. But I won't let it die.

But it's over, it's over. Why is it over? We had the chance to make it. Now it's over,
It's over. It can't be over. I wish that I could take it back.

I'm falling apart, I'm falling apart.
Don't say this wont last forever.
You're breaking my heart, you're breaking my heart.
Don't tell me that we will never be together.
We could be over
And over, we could be forever.

It's not over. It's not over, it's never over, unless you let it take you, it's not over,
It's not over, it's not over, unless you let it break you. It's not over.

Illusion of happiness

     Lot of stars blink in the sky
     Often I hide behind the wall
     Vacillation stucks in my mind
     Easy I know it all

Yes you made it
Obscurely I feel that
Urge to be yours

People VS Person

Kita bisa menggunakan 'people' jika ingin menggeneralisasikan sekelompok orang (jamak)
Contoh (1) : "Most people are having opinion as me."
Contoh (2) : "People in the south are much more friendly than those in the north."

Lalu pernah dengar mengenai 'peoples'?
Contoh (3) : "The native peoples of Siberia."
Contoh (4) : "The many and varied peoples of West Africa."

Contoh (5) : "She's a very pleasant person."

Contoh (6) : "This vehicle is authorized to carry twenty persons."
Contoh (7) : "This information should not be disclosed to any unauthorized persons.

Meeting At Night -- Parting At Morning

Author: Robert Browning

MEETING AT NIGHT

The gray sea and the long black land;
And the yellow half-moon large and low;
And the startled little waves that leap
In fiery ringlets from their sleep,
As I gain the cove with pushing prow,
And quench its speed i' the slushy sand.

Then a mile of warm sea-scented beach;
Three fields to cross till a farm appears;
A tap at the pane, the quick sharp scratch
And blue spurt of a lighted match,
And a voice less loud, through its joys and fears,
Than the two hearts beating each to each!

PARTING AT MORNING

Round the cape of a sudden came the sea,
And the sun looked over the mountain's rim;
And straight was a path of gold for him,
And the need of a world of men for me.

NOTE

These poems were published originally simply as "Night" and "Morning." The second of these love lyrics is somewhat difficult to interpret. If the man is speaking, the "him" in line 3 must refer to the sun. In any case, after the isolation with the woman he loved as described in the first poem, there comes with the morning a sense of the world of action to which the man must return. The two poems are fully discussed in _Poet-Lore_, Volume VII, April, May, June-July. The poems are noteworthy for the fusion of human emotion and natural scenery and for the startlingly specific phrasing of the first quatrain.

Jangan terlalu ngandalin (g*oogl*e) translator,  >,<

1.
Dimana letak kesalahannya?
1) Gardent yang seharusnya ditulis Garden, dan
2) Garace yang seharusnya ditulis, hmm apa ya maksudnya? Garage mungkin.

2.
Seharusnya ditulis 'DON'T ENTER' atau 'NO ENTRY'

3.
Itu Pemerintah Kabupaten mana ya?
Mungkin bisa ditulis 'Stay Away from Drugs', hmm kepanjangan yak, ga cukup tempatnya.

4.
Kalo ini mungkin yang nulis ga teliti. 'Aviliable' harusnya 'Available'. Beda tipis sih.

5.
Iseng-iseng cobain translate di google translate, oom google bener loh 'No day without learning'.

6.
Antar Buku Ketempatmu, 'delivery order' aja. -_-

7.
Mungkin ini maksudnya 'Under Construction'.

8.
Nah iniiii, spanduk di arena Sea Games 2011. *tepok jidat*
Kalo menurutku sih, yang bener 'Have a pleasant pray'

Thx u. -Sekian-

English, skill or knowledge?

Begitu pula bahasa. Simak salah satu syair lagu the beatles …
-But she DON’T care- why not → -But she DOESN'T care- ?

So ??
